Electric Bikes: Now You Can Get Fit and save Cash
October 29th, 2009Not getting enough exercise? It’s a normal thing - we all realize this, and still so much gets in the way of actually working out. We see individuals packed into gymnasiums doing workouts, and consider : well, I must travel to the gymnasium, pay for my member’s costs, then lift some weights. It seems like loads of trouble, isn’t there something I can do that’s not going to throw away too much of my precious time - even something pragmatic?
You might consider buying a push bike, as bicycling is a wonderful way to get fit. You can bike to work or do some shopping, so it’s rather pragmatic. It’s also very cost -effective - there’s no petrol required and the running costs are negligable. It’s also environmentally friendly. And not forgetting the small point of actually getting you in shape.
But many individuals are unwilling to get a bike since it’s TOO much exercise. As odd as it may sound, it could be because they might live in a hilly area, be aged or have a particular ailment that make cycling too “hardcore” for their capabilities. And for a few people, it’s not pragmatic bicycling to their work simply because they sweat too much through the efforts of pedaling.
So this is where e-bikes, or electric bikes come in. Electric bikes give you a breather on the hard slopes merely by twisting your hand on the handlebar and letting the electric motor take over - you don’t need to do any peddling then. Then when you’re ready to switch to manual, just start pedalling. You get reasonable exercise and clean air without doing yourself in. E-bikes are also very cost-effective to run requiring only a daily recharge if you do about 15 to 22 miles per day, although most people need just a couple of recharges per week as they’re not doing this kind of mileage. You can find a local supplier of ebikes by looking on the internet.
These days the real cost of buying an e-bike have come right down in price, so you can find yourself saving a lot of dosh on fuel, bus fares, gym memberships etc. by purchasing and on a regular basis using an e-bike.
